Paying It Forward

The Vixens were talking about how grateful we are to wake up everyday to a new day, have food to eat, our health, and enough means to be able to enjoy extra curricular activities, like motorcycles. XVMC Nor-Cal has decided that we will focus as much of our efforts as possible to pay it forward. 

We understand that not everyone is as fortunate. We were caught up in the restructuring of our club, taking time off to rebuild our foundation, but our sisterhood us still committed to raising funds for donations to organizations, volunteering our time whenever we can, and raising awareness to great causes! 

This month, we focused on two organizations. 

World Food Program USA

World Food Program Usa (WFP USA) works to solve global hunger, building a world where everyone has the food and nutrition needed to lead healthy, productive lives.

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide, reaching more than 97 million people in 80 countries with food assistance last year. World Food Program USA builds support for WFP through fundraising, advocacy and education in the United States.

In many ways, America is the land of plenty. But for 1 in 6 people in the United States, hunger is a reality. Many people believe that the problems associated with hunger are confined to small pockets of society, certain areas of the country, or certain neighborhoods, but the reality is much different.

Right now, millions of Americans are struggling with hunger.  These are often hard-working adults, children and seniors who simply cannot make ends meet and are forced to go without food for several meals, or even days.

It’s time to educate ourselves about the causes of hunger in America.

We don't realize this, but those suffering from hunger is closer to home than we think. Please give to this cause like we have.
